A world of differences!

This is an entry from a woman who is single and attached.

Even though I have not met her, I can feel she is a lovely woman who is CLEAR about what she wants in life and in relationships (she describes them perfectly as can be seen below!)

I know how she feels, because it seems that she is facing very similar challenges like myself. I have a partner who is challenged financially in all areas of his life too, and until today is still unable to understand why it is crucial to be a "saver" ... and like her, I too feel sometimes that I have to financially "support" him! It upsets me sometimes too, but for almost 10 years until today, I have been able to manage our world of differences, using what I know from my books of course! :-) And this is why we are still able to maintain our relationship together until today.

1) What do want and need in your Relationship (or Marriage)?

I need my partner to be "loving"/considerate of me, loyal and able to be trusted.

Good company...honesty....fun....laughter.

3) What do you want and need in Sex?

Sensitivity, fun, relaxed attitude, being tuned in (with each other).

4) What do you look for in a Mate (or Soul mate)?

A reliable man with two feet on the ground - someone who cares to find answers when they are not yet found and is prepared to search for them (with me if necessary) - love of what is beautiful in this world.

5) What turns you on?

Turning HIM on....also a certain look from him....where he actually looks at me like he loves me.

6) What turns you off?

When he is into himself and not me.

7) What do you (Secretly) wish your partner would know about you if you have a chance to convey that to your partner?

That I am vulnerable and very, very much a one-man woman.

8) What Do You Find MOST Challenging or Difficult about Your Love, Relationship and Marriage?

That he has not got anywhere near the same amount of money as I have...he has to keep on working for the rest of his life, but I'm retired. He seems to resent that in me and thinks it is one of our greatest challenges too. I feel sometimes that I have to financially "support" him....I really really don't like that...makes me feel that he feels inadequate and that makes me feel worse...TOP problem is the money issue described above - it results in him having to travel interstate a lot, causes arguments. He works so very hard, but can't ever seem to get enough money...he has never been a "saver" and being 59 (4 years older than me) I feel that we are worlds apart financially...
